What kinds of things do you challenge? This is a general question but on International Women’s Day, I’m aiming it particularly at women. In my Mindful Monday evening sessions I link poetry to the key concept for that session. Here is the poem that I’ve written for tonight’s session. Enjoy!
MY WORRIES, BREAST CANCER AND MINDFULNESS:
TURNING TOWARDS VERSUS TURNING AWAY....
LISTEN TO YOUR BODY...... can you hear it breathing? Can you hear the sounds that the breath is making? Can you notice where you feel it most? Our breath breathes for us every minute of every day. It supports and nurtures every cell within our body. When we’re on the move our breath is moving. When we’re still our breath is still moving. Breathing in and breathing out. Moment by moment.
🐣 EASTER SATURDAY🐣
Living With Hope: this has been the name of my part-time business since 2012. I registered my business name under this title for one main reason (and it had nothing to do with what I was selling at the time, which was ladies fashion and accessories). I didn’t mind how many times people asked me, ‘Why is your business called Living With Hope?’ because it gave me the chance to explain why and what it’s like to live with the incurable version of breast cancer. That’s the reason I chose the name because it’s what I do every single day when I get out of bed. I wanted to share my new logo with you today. It feels timely to do so as we mark one year on from the start of the national lockdown because we are all living with hope. Every single one of us. Without it we have nothing.
