Mindfulness and mindfulness meditation can be an extremely helpful way to
reduce levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. This can lead to a change in
physiology and neurology that can influence improved sleep patterns and
feelings of mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.
The human mind is a highly complex organ that has evolved to enable us to
multi-task and exist on autopilot for much of our waking hours. More so than
ever before the workplace is fast-paced where communication exchange is
constant and subject to organisational changes. Employees are required to be
responsive, work flexibly, autonomously and be able to respond to change
quickly.
To thrive in the modern workplace we need a skill set and coping mechanisms
that can help us recognise when we need to take a step back to allow us to be
responsive rather than reactive. Regular pausing and developing awareness of
our moment-to-moment experience helps to develop emotional intelligence that
guides our intuition and creativity. This is one of the cornerstones of
mindfulness.

An employee’s ability to develop and utilise mindfulness and meditation in the
workplace is a huge asset to any organisation. Regular application of mindfulness
techniques and meditation boosts resilience. Employees are better able to focus
their concentration in a way that benefits themselves and everybody around
them.
I create bespoke mindfulness and meditation workplace programmes that are
designed to meet the specific needs of the organisation. I am an accredited
Breathworks teacher with over 30 years experience of supporting and
mentoring adults, helping them to achieve their full potential.
As a three-time survivor of breast cancer, mindfulness and mindfulness meditation have helped me to live presently, developing moment-to-moment awareness of each day.
